dawlings online

This server hands out the join codes that let dawlings players reach each other without port forwarding.

Host

1. Press M for the session panel.
2. Choose Host online.
3. Read out the six-character join code, or press Copy and send it.

Join

1. Press M.
2. Type the code under JOIN BY CODE and choose Join by code. Case, spaces and dashes do not matter.
3. The panel says whether you are in direct or relayed through this server.

Good to know

• A code is not a password. If the host turned on Ask for a code, you also need that four-character session code.
• Most connections go direct. A relayed one passes through here and adds a little delay.
• Want your own server? See docs/multiplayer.md in the dawlings source.
